Anyone who knows either of us knows that we have very nerdy interests and hobbies. I have always enjoyed playing video games and would stream them online for my friends to watch when we were unable to meet up in person. On March 7, 2020 I was streaming a lesser known game called Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia when Nathan found my stream and began watching. He had been looking for small streamers playing the game at the time. We started chatting and hit it off as friends due to our shared interests. We soon developed feelings for each other and began our long distance romance.

For our fourth anniversary Nathan planned a date at Eagle Creek Park. This was where we had our first real date after I moved to Indiana to continue our relationship. It was a gorgeous June day with the most perfect weather you could imagine. We rented a paddle boat on the lake and then walked the trail around the bird sanctuary. He found a secluded spot just off the trail where we had a beautiful view of the water. After a few minutes enjoying the view he proposed!
