Sam and Nate had their first date on the best day of the year (Sam's birthday...and Pi Day). They met at a local brewery, and Sam was late per usual. She recalls seeing Nate sitting at a table through the brewery's front window as she crossed the street from her car, and she was suddenly glad she made the risky decision to spend her birthday with this near stranger. Nate remembers watching her cross that street as well and could tell instantly she had an energy that radiates. Nate was immediately drawn in by that energy and, to her surprise, listened thoughtfully to her talk about her life and her beliefs for hours. Nate's definitely the quiet one in the relationship, and his gentle, pensive nature quickly became something Sam loves about him. From that first date on, they were inseparable. Now, Sam couldn't imagine spending her birthdays with anyone but Nate.
