Bride
Hi, I’m Sam — the creative brain, spreadsheet enthusiast, and proud lover of all things pink. I’ve always been the kind of person who leads with both my head and my heart — whether I’m managing programs at school, planning our wedding down to the last detail, or dreaming up our next big adventure. Mikayla would probably tell you I’m determined — that I don’t give up easily once I set my mind to something. (I think I’m just stubborn.) But the truth is, my favorite part of every day isn’t my to-do list or my next project… it’s coming home to her. Mikayla is the only person who will watch a Marvel movie with me on the couch even though we’ve probably seen The Winter Soldier three times that week, or listen to me talk in grave detail about my Calico Critter village, or let me update her on the latest news about Sebastian Stan she may have missed in the few hours we’ve been apart, or patiently hear me complain about the same things every single day — all with a smile on her face. She listens, makes me laugh, and somehow always does it while serving food she’s made and creating a home she fills with warmth and care. She’s my calm, my safe place, and the person who makes even the quiet moments feel special — even when I don’t exactly let her have too many quiet moments. I’m so excited to step into this next chapter with her by my side.
Bride
Hi, I’m Mikayla, the funny one, the early sleeper, and the girl who fully believes a sugar-free Red Bull counts as a food group. I’m thoughtful, a little opinionated, and I show love through the small things: cooking dinner after a long day, sitting through whatever celebrity obsession Samantha’s currently deep in, or rubbing her back when she’s sick while pretending I’m not half-asleep. There’s a comfort in our chaos. Our nights usually end with us debriefing about the day, sharing dinner, and me realizing how lucky I am to be loved by someone who makes even the ordinary feel like magic. When I’m not taking care of her (or being told to “just relax”), you’ll probably find me bed-rotting, scrolling through GOT7 tweets for way too long, eating my third Slim Jim in a row, or browsing recipes I fully intend to make someday. She keeps life interesting. She makes me laugh when I don’t want to, challenges me in the best ways, and reminds me that love isn’t always about grand gestures — sometimes it’s just about showing up for each other every day
