How We Met

September 14th 2013

Samantha telling the story. . . One of my best friends had asked me and our other friend to go out 1 night so we could meet this guy she was seeing at the time. I was always down for a night out with my girls. The night started as we got picked up at my friends house. The 3 of us were squeezed into the back of a white pick up truck. Not really sure where we were off to, but the windows were down and our hair was flying all over the place. We got to our first stop, which was a place called The Breakfast Club in NJ. We walked in and the place was completely dead. I think we had 1 super sweet drink and got back in the car. Next stop, an 80's club in NYC called Culture Club. It was so loud, we really couldn't talk much, but we all danced the night away. I remember grabbing his friend and dancing with him on top of a speaker. He seemed like a nice guy, but the one thing I forgot was to get his number before we got dropped off at the end of the night. I kept asking my friend about him and what she thought. So I did what any other girl would have done...STALKED HIM ON FACEBOOK! I found him and messaged him like the creeper I was. We went on our first date about a week later to Vincent's Clam Bar (I had no idea his middle name was Vincent). He thought something was wrong with me because I barely ate. I was just so nervous because I hadn't been out with someone like him before and there was just something about him. I just knew he was the one from the beginning. We continued to date for months and months, from Queens & Staten Island we went back and forth. It turned into the most amazing 8 years before our happily ever after would finally begin.

How He Proposed

The Happiest Place On Earth

Again, Samantha telling the story . . . Disney World is my home away from home. So many people were waiting for this moment, I think more than I was. I had people sliding into my DM's our entire trip because they were stalking my stories on instagram. And I'm not going to lie, I had a feeling it was coming - but it couldn't have been more perfect than it was. For those of you who haven't traveled to Disney World during the almighty "Pandemic", it was super stressful. Everything had to be planned ahead of time. And back in March of 2021, the last thing I was thinking was that Mike was going to propose to me while we were there. So I planned The Magic Kingdom for our LAST DAY because it's my favorite park and I like to save the best for last. Little did I know, we would be ending our trip with our very own fireworks show! On December 13, 2021 at about 3:20PM, we lined up by a photo pass cast member to take some photos by Cinderella's Castle. The photos we took earlier just weren't coming out good so we waited a bit to try again. Me being totally clueless about everything just walked over to where he told us to stand, Mike wrote on his phone to show the cast member "I'm going to propose", and then handed his phone to a stranger to take a video. So we started taking our photos and still having no clue, the cast member asked us if we wanted to take any other photos. I began to walk away and Mike went into his pocket and got down on one knee. I started shaking and my heart was pounding. Words weren't coming out. I started hearing people screaming which made me even more nervous. I was just shaking my head yes and he stood up and grabbed me and tears started coming down my face. It was the most magical moment of my life.
