Mark and Sam met over eight years ago. Mark lived in Rochester Hills, while Sam was in Mt. Clemens at the time. Although they lived 30 minutes apart, that didn’t stop them from seeing each other almost every weekend. They were introduced through mutual friends, and it was through "Snapchatting" that Mark first saw a photo of Sam and immediately thought, "I want her number." Their first official date was a double date to go bowling with Sam’s best friend, Katie. Mark picked Sam up in his loud Evo (a race car) and took her to a bowling alley in Mt. Clemens. From that moment on, Mark and Sam’s love for each other grew deeper over the years. Their constant support for one another through all the ups & downs life has thrown at them in these last 8 years has only strengthened their relationship & love for one another. They’ve shared so many experiences together. From traveling in Michigan, road tripping to Tennessee, living in North Carolina, to vacationing to Mexico and Dominican Republic. Their love for travel and adventure has been a central part of their journey together. Mark and Sam's shared passion for exploration led them to choose to say "I do" on the beautiful sands of Macao Beach in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. They are beyond excited to celebrate their love and to be surrounded by those who mean the most to them.

Mark and Sam got engaged on April 14th, 2024, in Miami, FL, right on South Pointe Beach. They had taken a spontaneous trip to Florida for Sam's birthday, and Sam had no idea it was going to end with a proposal. They enjoyed dinner at Smith & Wollensky, right on the water, and decided to take a walk to the beach afterward to watch the sunset. Little did Sam know, Mark had already arranged for a photographer to follow them during their walk to the beach to capture the moment. Once they reached the beach, Mark dropped to one knee and popped the question. Sam was overwhelmed with emotion and couldn't have been more surprised & happy. The photographer captured the entire moment on video, allowing Sam and Mark to relive it forever. They then had a full photoshoot as an engaged couple. Afterward, they FaceTimed their families, only to find out that everyone had been out to dinner together, eagerly waiting for Sam and Mark to call with the happy news! It was the best day of their lives, and they will cherish those precious memories forever.
