It all started with a fleeting glance and a round of espresso martinis. Sam was working that night at the bar, unaware that she was about to meet her future wife. Lottie, too, didn't realise that a "shall we go to this pub for a final drink" would change the course of her life. It was John, Lottie's brother-in-law, that first spotted Sam. He saw the tattoos, the laissez faire attitude and the raven hair before tapping Lottie on the shoulder. "She looks gay," he muttered under his breath. Lottie wasn't as sure. She decided the way to look casual and find out the girl's sexuality was to scream it over the bar. Sam looked surprised but nodded, which resulted in Lottie asking if she could go for a cigarette. They threw on their coats and nervously made their way outside to get to know each other. They found out that they'd lived two doors down from one another for the past three years. Was it fate? They both like to think so. Fast forward five years and they can't think of anything better than getting married and spending the rest of their lives together.
