Queenie has known Samantha since they were awkward pre-teens in middle school when she accidentally stepped on Samantha’s school project. Their friendship has only strengthened through high school, college, and now young(ish) women growing in their careers and relationships. Queenie appreciates that Samantha will always give her honest opinion, is not afraid of having difficult conversations, and that she tries to see all sides to a situation in the hopes to improve a problem.

One of Samantha’s cousins. Samantha was her first best friend even though they would only see each other during summers and Christmas because they didn’t live in the same city. They always made the most of their time together by dancing like Selena or giving each other makeovers. Julie would count the days until they got to see each other again. Distance didn’t stop them from being the best of cousins all these years.

Bethany and Samantha met during their Master's in Social Work Program at UTSA. They bonded over topics they were discussing in class, difficult professors, and their love for procrastination (haha). The best moments were when they would sit in Bethany's car in a parking lot and talk for hours about life, aspirations, and relationship things. Samantha was one of Bethany's bridesmaids and considers Samantha to be one of her best friends. She is honored to be one of the women Samantha has chosen to stand by her side on her special day.

Diana met Samantha through a mutual friend from church in 2018 with a funny twist that was not expected. Little did Diana know, Samantha would become one of her closest and best friends, which isn’t easy to find in your 30s. Throughout the years, they shared many memories and mutual values such as faith, simple and fun ‘girls night out’ nights, their careers that they care so much about, and talking about finding love. Congratulations Samantha and Kevin 🎉 🥂!!!

Trudy and Samantha met during their undergrad program at UIW. They bonded over El Paso, being psychology majors, liking Disney’s Princess Jasmine and surviving undergradute years with the same friends. Trudy is glad she took a risk by going outside her comfort zone to make friends. She knows that friendships don’t always last as things change over the years and is glad their friendship has lasted this long.

Aimeé met Samantha and her family back when they altar served together. She remembers her brother and Samantha being in the same Confirmation class and youth group. Aimeé has had a fun experience getting to know Samantha through ministry and is delighted to be part of the wedding party. Aimeé has gotten closer to the Chavez family through Marc her brother, and hopes to grow her relationship with everyone.

Roseanne is an old college friend of Samantha’s. Bonding over a dislike for math, a friendship quickly developed between the two of them. From having deep conversations about life to reassuring each other about...interesting decisions in each other’s lives, the two friends have made sure to stay connected beyond the college years and into adulthood. They both know that having a friend to share laughs and tears with is always a beautiful blessing.

Kevin and Danny met at the University of Texas at San Antonio. They both studied music and attended classes together. Along with groomsman Gilbert Sanchez they formed the tripod. They have been friends ever since and serve the San Antonio community teaching music.

Joe initially met Kevin at the UTSA Catholic Student Association but only as Acquaintances. Following a disagreement over a board game, Joe wrongly assumed that Kevin and him were not going to be able to be friends . Approximately 5 years later, the two would meet again in a Catholic online Exodus 90 group. Joe was blown away at how great of a person Kevin actually is and that his assumptions were misguided and now Joe regards Kevin as a very close friend and brother in Christ.

Thankful to have Kevin as a close friend! Charles & Kevin met his first year in San Antonio ISD at the choir director orientation. He and Danny were going for lunch and Charles was invited into the bromance. They instantly connected on the love of music and teaching. It wasn't till his last year in San Antonio that they moved from friends to roommates. Kevin invited him to join a Catholic men's group. This time they connected in their faith and Charles couldn't be more grateful to call Kevin his brother in Christ. (I may or may not have been paid to edit this.)

Jacob met Kevin during a CSA (Catholic Student Association) meeting at UTSA. Jacob loves to sing and found that Kevin had shared an equal passion for music. Through the years, Jacob and Kevin have shared many experiences that have helped them grow in their friendship and spiritual journey. Being a happily married man himself, Jacob is so happy for Kevin and Samantha to experience this awesome new adventure.

Excited to be one of Kevin's groomsmen! Cristian & Kevin met thanks to a mutual friend and bonded over their faith and a shared passion for games—both board and video. Their friendship started in a Catholic men's group, and has only gotten deeper since then. Kevin's a great friend, always ready for a game night or a deep conversation. As he enters this new chapter, Cristian is looking forward to standing by his side, ready for the next adventure and maybe a game or two.

Odlanier and Kevin met at UTSA at a get together for one of the young adult, Catholic groups on campus. Initially, Odlanier was hesitant to talk to Kevin because he would always be recruiting members to sing with him in the choir for all the masses on campus. Finally, one day he decided to be open minded, and went to go hang out with him and a few of his choir buddies, and thank God he did. Kevin shares such a kindred spirit - the energy and selflessness he brought to all the gatherings was infectious and allowed Odie to realize that he was more than just a choir recruiter - he was a friend. Odie's excited to continue supporting Kevin and Samantha on this beautiful journey they have embarked on together.

Rey and Kevin bonded over gaming like most guys do. It’s always fun to have another person around who understands gaming and that you can play with. They’re the friend you always need. Kevin always brings out the best board games to play and Rey always finds them so interesting.
