Every time we tell it, we say it is unique, because never in a million years did we think we would meet our other half the way we did. Lets start at the beginning. I, Sam, registered for a motorcycle course class to fulfill my adrenaline rush. Kevin was a natural during the course, unlike me. At the beginning of the course we each got a chance to pick our bike and as I was walking over to a small sports bike, Kevin was already claiming it, leaving me with the last bike which was bigger than I was comfortable with. The rest of the class went okay, I was nervously passing each test and Kevin was riding through like a natural. At the end of the class, we were instructed to park our bikes and put the kickstands down. As I was leaning the bike to park it, the kickstand didn't touch the ground and sprung back up, pinning me under the bike. Like a knight in shining armor from his white stallion (aka motorcycle), Kevin ran to help me. I was so embarrassed I didn't even realize I had been freed. Kevin told me I could get up now, and I jumped up and brushed myself off, ignoring the cuts and scrapes. I didn't think I would go back the next day because if I dropped the bike again, I would fail, but something told me to see it through. The next day as I'm pulling into the lot of the class, I see everyone cheering that they were glad I came back. Throughout the day, Kevin checked on me and supported me through each task. At the end when we all passed and were walking back to our cars, Kevin said "We should get together and ride sometime together" and I said " Yeah, I'd like that". But then we both walked to our cars and didn't exchange any type of information. As I'm driving home, I'm thought back on it like "oh my gosh, how am I suppose to reach out to him". After a few days, he kept circling my mind and I decided to reactivate my Facebook and look for him. All I could remember was "Kevin Q.". Upon my first search, I found him and reached out like a giddy 15 year with her first crush! Kevin responded that he was so glad I reached out, he tried to look for me also but couldn't find me. We hung out a few times after that and the rest is history!
Kevin had the ring for several months, waiting for the right moment to propose. All of my family and close friends knew he planned to propose but I was completely oblivious. Kevin proposed over a family dinner at his mother's house. He snuck out while his family kept me distracted with small talk and went to the car to get the flowers, came back in and dropped on one knee right in the door way... I didn't suspect a thing!
