When should I RSVP by?

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We currently have a block of hotel rooms at the Fairmont Georgetown, Yours Truly DC, and the Melrose Hotel. See the "Travel" tab.

How do I get there?

Answer

The Welcome Party and Ceremony & Reception are both in the same general area, about a block apart. If you're coming from the hotel block area, we recommend taking a short Uber or Lyft ride. Both locations are also accessible by DC's metro system or walking (~45 minutes from the hotels) if you so choose.

What is the dress code?

Formal: Suits for the men (no tuxes necessary) and long dresses for the women.

Are the events indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both events are indoors only, although the reception has several juliette balconies which will be open (weather permitting).

It's an open bar! Just bring your ID!

Are kids allowed?

Unless otherwise indicated, kids are not allowed at the ceremony and reception!

Can I take pictures during the event? Do you have a wedding hashtag?

While you may take pictures at the event, we will be having a professional photographer and videographer coming and would be more than happy to send the work that they did to you instead. Our wedding hashtag is #LoveTheLorbers

Answer

No! DC is super accessible via the Metro or Uber/Lyft, or even walking!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Unless otherwise indicated in your invitation packet, please plan to arrive by 5:15pm for the ceremony to begin at 5:30pm!
