In 2014, Sam was a freshman and Josh was a sophomore at Alvirne High School. Although we rode the same bus to school every morning, we barely knew each other. Everything changed when Sam sent Josh a Facebook poke, sparking weeks of conversations and getting to know one another. Not long after, Josh asked Sam to be his girlfriend while sitting together on a large rock at Benson's Park. What started as a simple high school romance grew into a lifetime of memories, adventures, and unwavering support. Eleven years later, Josh got down on one knee and proposed in front of that very same rock.
