We are getting married!

They met at Florida Atlantic University (FAU). Samantha was an intern at a clam hatchery that rented space from FAU and finishing a biology degree. Jonathon was an Aquaculture Maintenance Mechanic at FAU. Jonathon was startled early in the morning by Samantha's loud room-filling laugh and said, "What the hell was that?" A coworker replied, "Oh! That is the new intern." Jonathon shrugged his shoulders and moved on. Shortly after, they found out they had similar interests and became friends. They were friends about 8 months, talking every work day. Samantha and Jonathon talked about surfing. Samantha told Jonathon that she broke her fin on the surfboard she shaped. Jonathon was impressed that she shaped her own board and happen to have the exact fin in the back of his truck. He gave it to her the next day. On another day, it was 120 degrees Fahrenheit in the hatchery. Jonathon saw Samantha's face - all red, looking like she was about to pass out - and went to get her a Gatorade. Samantha thought the gesture was super sweet. She talked to Audrey on the phone saying, "He is so sweet but he is 'off limits,' ugh. I am just going to give up for now." Jonathon was in a different relationship at the time. Several months later, he went on a surf trip with some friends. When he came back, Samantha just had to know all the details. She asked half jokingly, "Do you have any single friends?" Jonathon replied, "What about me? I am single now!" The next day they went on their first date. Jonathon tried to take her to get alley street tacos. He then found out then that she was a pescatarian. So they decided to go to a Hawaiian themed restaurant (that is now closed, unfortunately). Since then, they have been on many trips and adventures together exploring Florida's wilderness and waterways. After a short time, it was apparent they were meant to be together and the rest will be history.
