We hope you are all staying sane & healthy during these crazy times! You will soon be getting a notice in the mail that John and I have decided to cancel the 8/22/2020 wedding. While we are bummed to not get to celebrate with everyone, our priority is and always will be the health & safety of our guests and 8/22 is cutting it too close to celebrate with everyone the way we had planned in a safe manner. We have decided to move forward with a smaller ceremony with just family on the original date. We cannot express into words how much we appreciate your love, support, friendship, and understanding as we navigate through these weird times. The welcome bonfire on Friday night is just that, a bonfire! Casual clothes are totally fine, jeans or nice shorts are encouraged, and don't forget a jacket as it gets cold on the water at night! For Saturday, the wedding is semi-formal. Cocktail or long dresses for the girls, suit & tie for the boys!
If the envelope was not addressed to the family or your child's name was not on the envelope, please know we love them dearly but the invite was only intended for you! While we adore your kids, this is an adult event. :-)
We will have s'mores, light snacks, and drinks at the bonfire on Friday night, but since it does not start until 8pm, you will want to eat dinner before! There are a lot of dinner options nearby -- the 2 restaurants at the hotel are fabulous and there will be a BBQ on the beach (provided by the hotel) Friday night right before the bonfire so you can eat at the beach as well. Saturday we will be feeding you dinner after the ceremony and late night snacks if you chose to stay through the dance party! :-)
If you want to! The hotel does allow dogs so that is totally up to you if you would like to bring yours for the weekend! Unfortunately, the dogs are not allowed at the actual wedding ceremony and reception Saturday night so keep that in mind!
