Fun mtb trails, bikes can be rented at Goldstream Sports and you can ride up to the trails from the shop. Bankstown Bike and Ski also rents bikes!

Where we had our first date and frequent beers with friends. Fantastic hazys, sours and everything else.
University of Alaska Museum of the North
Very close to the UAF trail system as well.
Creamer's Field Migratory Waterfowl Refuge
Catch the migratory birds before they head south for the winter!

If you take a look Fairbanks has a baffling density of Thai restaurants. Lemongrass is widely agreed upon as the best.
Murphy Dome
A but of a drive, but great views of the valley and possible blueberry picking!
Seward
Can be very rainy, but a fun little town on a bay surrounded by mountains. About 2 hours south of Anchorage. Seward has the Alaska Sea life Center and a great local art shop/ coffee house, Resurrect Art Coffee House.
Girdwood
Ski town about 30 minutes south of Anchorage. Go to the Nordic Spa!!
Turnagain Arm
An area you drive through and stop at pull outs, but so beautiful with the changing fall colors in mid-September.

Cute downtown, fun brewpub, on the way from Anchorage to Fairbanks. We like the Flying Squirrel Cafe and any Denali Brewing institution.
Denali State Park
Trails here generally have better views of Denali than in the park!
