Our story is quite simple really. It was a typical Friday night, I was a bartender at the time in Carlsbad, California at a Mexican restaurant. James just so happened to work directly across the street as a bartender as well. When he had found out that his friend Gary worked right across the street, at said Mexican restaurant, he decided to stop in that night to say hi. Little did we know, our lives were about to change forever. I like to tell people this story and add, "He came for Gary, and stayed for me!!" James, the smooth talker that he is, starts up a conversation with me. He asked me about my likes and interests and what I do on my days off. I told him I enjoy going to the gym, the beach and hiking. He proceeds to then ask me if I would like to go for a hike on my next day off. I didn't want to seem too easy to get so I let him think that we could go for a hike, as long as he knew I was not looking for anything serious. That following Tuesday, we met up at Calavera Hills for our hike and all I can remember after walking for over two hours is that I wasn't ready for it to be over. I knew then that this person had a very special hold over me and I can guarantee that if you ask him, he would say the same thing.
