Freckled green-eyed boy, w/giant white headphones. He never spoke at our circle before classes started. We shared the same friend group, but I never really "saw" him. The first time I clearly remember speaking to Jamie was when we were the only two friends in the circle. I asked him why he was so quiet, he just shrugged his shoulders, so I got annoyed and left. In February, 2014, the library was closed. If it wasn't for the library being closed, we may not have been here. Jamie joined my lunch table, and once we spoke I was head over heels for him. I didn't realize it was the same kid. He was down to earth, kind and mysterious. I wanted to know everything about him. In April I invited him to go to Canobie w/friends. He ended up driving me home, in the drive way he hit my brother Jacque's car. What a wonderful way to be introduced to the family. When school let out we hung out almost every single day that summer. I truly thought he knew how much I liked him. But, boys are oblivious. At the lake house, he slept on an air mattress, I slept on the couch. He asked me to lay down next to him, and we chatted. Mid stretch, he punched me in the face! In July we were planning on a Lord of the Rings movie marathon. We bought all the junk food. A little while after he dropped me off at home he texted me "Can I ask you a question?" "yes of course" "It's kind of awkward" "Then try not to make it awkward" "I can't" "What is it?" - 5 minutes later "Will you go out with me?" Our first date couldn't have been better. You never expect to find the love of your life in high school. Where everything is awkward and difficult. Yet here we are. We have gone through every type of difficult situation and pushed through together. Scotland was the hardest climb to the top. But coming from parents of HS sweethearts, you don't give up on each other just because things maybe tough. You grow together, what you go through together. Love always finds away. A new Chapter starts, as always, together.
