Our absolute favorite place to eat. If you like authentic Japanese food in the form of small plates. Alcoholic beverages must be purchased, seriously, they always want a drink in your hand.
Our ceremony was held here, we had immediate family only during Covid. If you will be in town long enough, we highly recommend taking the drive to check this place out before or after the wedding and drink some tasty prohibition-style cocktails!
When in Rome... Bourbon.
If you are from out of town, you must stop and see some horses while you are here. Check out some of the local Thoroughbred Farms, specifically this one (Since Sam used to work here). They have a couple Triple Crown winners you can meet. To book a tour go through www.visithorsecountry.com.
A great place to take a quick Uber or Lyft and you can hop around to anything once you're there, breweries, cideries, an arcade bar, ax throwing, or the best ice cream in town.
If Latin-inspired cuisine is your thing, this is the best place for it. The best little place for some tapas, and no, not topless-- tapas.
A little over ten years ago, Jake took me on our first date here. (Different location, but same great owner and sushi) Yes, we are landlocked here, but the sushi is still damn good.
Best smoked meats in town, you can't go wrong with any of the food here.
For the morning after, cause lets face it, most of us aren't spring chickens anymore and we will need some hair on the dog. The best Bloody Mary bar in town. They don't open until 1:00pm but I don't think most of you will be up before that. You can have breakfast from the mary-accouterments, but if you need a little more, our friend donut Joe has the best donuts right across the street at North Lime Donuts, or Favor has all your favorite breakfast items right out back.
Featured in Garden and Gun and made Esquire's Top 21 bars list. But just take Jake and I's word for it, it's pretty good and you'll be transported to a jungle, maybe Jumanji, hopefully someone finishes the game by the wedding...
THE best pizza in town, and not just pizza, but woodfired bagels in the AM as well. Make sure you get there before noon though, they sell out FAST.
The WHOLE reason for having our reception in April, if your in Lexington in April or October, you must go to the races! We will be tailgating for an after party on Saturday, April 16th. Let us know if you plan to join us and you will be sure to have a good time watching some ponies run.
