We're getting married!

We first met in 2013 at the Olympic training center in Colorado springs. Both of us were there for a developmental clinic for inline speed skating. We kept in contact briefly until the fall of 2016, where we met again and really started to talk a lot more. Jacob insisted at this clinic that the "shade" was nicer near where I was sitting, when it was clearly in full sunlight, and he just needed an excuse to break the ice.

Not long after starting dating, we realized that the long distance relationship was very hard. Within six months, Jacob decided to move to Texas. He packed his car up, and Samantha flew to California with just a backpack to help on this 24 hour drive. During the drive, in Arizona, he pulled off the road to "look at the stars". Little did Samantha know that he had a ring and a big question to ask, too.
