Gregg and Sam's first date was at a tex-mex restaurant here in Austin called Trudy's. Sam picked it out because of how much she loved their queso but little did she know (because he didn't tell her) Gregg hated cheese. Fortunately for Gregg, she was so interested in their conversation that she didn't even notice him not eating it. After hours of talking and a few mexican martinis, it was pretty clear that they were hitting it off. So much so that when Gregg went to the bathroom, the waiter made it a point to say, "wow good first date huh?"

Zilker park is an iconic part of Austin that Samantha and Gregg have always cherished. They have spent countless afternoons and evenings hanging out with friends, playing sports, or having a date-night picnic. When it came time to propose, Gregg knew of only one spot in Austin that would mean the most to both of them. On the evening of June 17th, 2022 Lincoln (their fur-child) snuck up on Gregg and Sam while they were having a picnic. Attached to Lincoln’s collar was a ring that would promise to make the three of them a family forever. Gregg popped the question with all of their closest friends and family hiding in the bushes. They spent the remaining part of the weekend celebrating with their friends and family. Samantha and Gregg cannot wait to celebrate their big day with you in December! We hope to see you there!
