Bermuda Day Parade
Our wedding happens to fall on Bermuda Day weekend! Friday is Bermuda day, and everyone will be celebrating in Hamilton. If you want something fun to do during the day on Friday, go to see the Bermuda day parade.
Hamilton
If you are staying in Somerset, you can take the ferry from Watford bridge or Dockyard to Hamilton. Hamilton is the main "city" and has restaurants, bars and shops. You can also take the bus, a taxi or rent a twizy. It is a 30 minute drive from Somerset and 15 minute drive from Southampton.
Royal Naval Dockyard
Dockyard is next to Somerset and has a some cool historic things you can check out. We recommend: National Museum of Bermuda Snorkel Park Frog and Onion pub
Beaches
Bermuda has tons of beaches! You don't really have to go far to find one. Popular ones close to Somerset are: Horseshoe Bay, Warwick Long Bay, Elbow Beach, Southlands, West Whale Bay, Church Bay
Snorkeling and Diving
Bermuda is surrounded by beautiful coral reef and marine life. Check out some of the businesses that offer snorkeling and diving excursions.
The Reefs Resort & Club
Hotel in Southampton that has a few nice restaurants over looking the ocean and a spa.
Cambridge Beaches Resort & Spa
Cambridge Beaches is where all the wedding events will take place. It is a recently updated 100 year old hotel on the West end of the island. It sits on a point that is surrounded by the ocean and has multiple beaches, pools and restaurants.
Hamilton Princess & Beach Club
Like Cambridge Beaches, Hamilton Princess is a historic hotel on the island. It was recently upgraded by a Bermudian family and now has three amazing restaurants, shopping and a huge selection of impressive artwork. Highly recommended during a trip to Hamilton.
