Both SRQ and TPA airports offer a number of rental car options. However, if you are arriving at SRQ airport, Uber is a viable alternative, as the downtown area is walkable.

Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) is the most convenient option if you choose to fly. SRQ Airport is located approximately 5 miles north of downtown Sarasota, via US 41.

If you are unable to conveniently fly into SRQ Airport, the next closest airport is Tampa International Airport (TPA). If flying into TPA, expect an approximately 1 hr 15min car drive south to Sarasota via I-275 South.
