We met our junior year of high school at our Governor's School program. The two of us were good friends throughout our junior year, and began dating December of our senior year! We attended Virginia Tech together (Go Hokies!) and have been dating for four years!

Both of us, with our families, were staying at Claytor Lake State Park for the Virginia Tech and University of Richmond football game. After the game, we drove back to the state park and decided to go on a walk to see the overlook of the entire lake. At the top of the overlook, Dwight got on one knee and proposed! It was the most beautiful scenery to add to the most special moment!
