Travel Note

IMPORTANT INFORMATION CONCERNING ALL DIRECTIONS

Please note that direction to both Tashi Choling and The Old Siskiyou Barn are not GPS friendly. We suggest PRINTING OUT ALL DIRECTIONS for both as cell phone may not work and GPS will not get you directly to either venue. We suggest car pooling where possible and shuttle service will be provided to the The Old Siskiyou Barn as there is limited parking at the venue.

Flight

Rogue Valley International Medford Airport.

The airport is a 25 minute drive to Ashland. If you are traveling directly to Tashi Choling for the ceremony it will take about 45-50 minutes.

This is where we will be having our rehearsal dinner. It is right in downtown Ashland. It is about 30-40 mins to Tashi Choling where we will be have the ceremony and about 25 mins from where the reception will be held.

Directions to Tashi Choling from Ashland

45 minute drive from downtown Ashland Head south on I 5 Take EXIT 6 Mount Ashland, keep Right go .9 miles Right on MOUNT ASHLAND SKI RD go 3.4 miles Left COLESTIN RD (this is a dirt road) go 4 miles DRIVE SLOWLY this is a long curvy dirt road At 4 miles you will see a row of prayer flags. This is the main entrance to Tashi Choling! Travel the road through the prayer flags and follow the balloons up to the Temple. There is limited parking at the temple. If you are a senior please park at the temple. There is additional parking just below, please look for signs. Please carpool. Have a copy of these directions on hand. Most smartphone GPS will not get you all the way to Tashi Choling.

Direction to Reception at Old Siskiyou Barn from downtown Ashland

2600 Old Highway 99 So. Ashland OR 97520 Take Siskiyou Blvd to Ashland St (Hwy 66) Continue over Hwy 5 overpass. The Barn is about 7 miles from this point. Landmarks -Pass Chevron station on right -Pass Secure Storage on left -Pass Dead Indian Memorial Rd on left -Pass turnoff to Emigrant Lake on left Approx 2 mi past Emigrant Lake turnoff TURN RIGHT onto Old Siskiyou Hwy / Hwy 99 South Drive 1.8 mi On the right-hand side of the road, look for a yellow “Hidden Driveway” sign Immediately past the sign, there is a driveway -TURN RIGHT. There will be signs directing you to the parking lots. THERE IS NO LANDLINE AT THE BARN CELL PHONE RECEPTION IS UN RELIABLE TRAVEL TIME FROM ASHLAND IS APPROX 20-30 MINS PLEASE DRIVE VERY SLOWLY ON THE DIRT ROAD This road is used by 8 other families. Be on the lookout for other vehicles. Use designated pullouts to pull over. Do not pull over into the ditch. This will compromise the ditch which has been built for directing water away from the road

From Hwy I-5 Northbound: Take the Ashland exit - Exit 14 TURN Right onto Hwy 66 East The Barn is about 7 miles from this point.
