What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal or dressy casual attire is requested. Events will be outdoors (weather permitting) with average temperatures in early August peaking at 81°F and getting as low as 54°F. Summery dresses and light suits would be appropriate, but being comfortable is most important. Bring a jacket or extra layer for the evening in case it gets cooler.

The ceremony and reception will take place outdoors, weather permitting. Alta Lodge is at a high elevation so please remember to wear sunscreen and stay hydrated!

Is Alta Lodge accessible for people with disabilities?

Answer

Alta Lodge is a historic building and is accessed by 59 stairs from the roadside to lobby entrance. For guests who are unable to negotiate the stairs, a call can be placed from the courtesy phone at street level. Guests are transported via four-wheel-drive vehicle to the lobby and patio levels.
