Whoever thought that you could meet your significant other at a coffee shop, let alone Starbucks?! But turns out we are living proof that Starbucks can give you more than overpriced coffee. During our time at Starbucks, we were never more than acquaintances and co-workers, but there was always some sort of unspoken respect that we had for one another. This mutual respect felt more like a feeling that this person was special, unique, and unlike anyone else that we had met before. As time went on, life pulled us in different directions, with different people and experiences along the way. But through all the ups and downs that we passed through separately, they somehow lead us back to one another. And by leading us back to one another, we mean that one of us contacted the other randomly 4 years later to invite them to a party. Seeing as though we did not live in the same zip code anymore, the party invite was kindly denied, but those initial feelings of kindness and respect were still there after all that time. Fast-forward to 6 years later filled with, multiple camping trips, countless adventures, endless movie marathons, home renovations Chip and Jo style, and a lot of love along the way. Together, we have created so many beautiful memories that we can not wait to expand upon as we start this new chapter in our lives!
We love to spend time in the outdoors and had always talked about taking a trip up to Mammoth to go snowboarding and explore the town. Chris had me convinced that his friends had planned a Mammoth trip to celebrate their recent graduation from nursing school and their birthday's all in one. Little did I know that he had planned the whole thing as a decoy so that I would not be suspicious of all of our closest friends being together at the same time. Once we were up there, Chris and I decided to go on a hike to check out all the fresh snow that had just fallen. While we were on the hike it began to lightly snow and I turned around to attempt to catch snow in my mouth as I looked up to the sky...I know really attractive. When I had turned back around, Chris was down on one knee asking me to marry him. I laughed, cried, and said yes without a second thought! And just like that, we set out to start a new adventure!
