We're Getting Married

In the midst of Covid, Chad and I found each other. Little did we know at the time where our journey would take us. From our first date at Disney’s Magic Kingdom, I knew Chad was different by the way he treated me. Never had I been treated like a princess which is what he truly did. From that moment on, our time together has been magical. I like to think that I convinced Chad to become a Disney freak like me and we spent most of our time together at Disney...and now we both enjoy everything Disney together. We spend lots of our free time at Disney’s parks. We also spend time at the beach and sporting events between our rivalry teams. The time we spend together is always the BEST time. In the summer of 2022, we decided to make the jump and move in together. From that moment forward, I knew he was my soulmate. Living together made life so much easier. We started talking about the future and I knew I wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. I kept telling him he wouldn’t be able to surprise me when he decided to propose to me. After working a night shift on March 26th, 2023, I was exhausted. We had already made plans to go to Disney’s Hollywood Studios that day after he finished work. I knew my parents would be there as well. I had texted him that morning and told him “don’t do anything silly today” meaning don’t be proposing because I wasn’t really in the best of moods and I wasn’t getting fancy for the day at the park. We went to the park to our favorite part of it, Toy Story Land, and met up with my parents. My mom distracted me and went with me to the bathroom and that is when the ring swap occurred between my dad and Chad. When we came out, my mom suggested I go over to “Buzz” and have our picture taken. I said “Mom, we always get pictures, it’s hot as heck, lets just go” but we got the pictures anyways and needless to say I will remember that day for the rest of my life! While taking the pictures, my face looked unamused. We turned back to back and that is when I noticed my brother with his phone out as well....I started to wonder why? When we turned to face each other again, that is when Chad dropped down to one knee and asked me to marry him in front of our families and several friends. Obviously I said YES or we wouldn’t be here today! I cannot wait to continue our story together and see where life takes us. Ever since I was a young girl, my mom and I have always talked about me getting married at Walt Disney World. It simply has been a dream of mine forever. To think that this day is finally coming true still makes my heart skip a beat. And to know that I will be walking down the aisle to marry the most amazing man in the world with all of our amazing guests there that we love still feels like a dream. Here’s to dreams coming true..... Let's get married!!
