Hotel
Caleb and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort Aruba and casino for the first time the week we got engaged. We liked it so much that we decided to do our ceremony and reception there!!. It’s a nice resort, on the heart of the beach, great dining nearby, and shopping malls across the street. There is an all inclusive option for the resort as well.
Hotel
It is a very nice resort/casino. The beach is beautiful, and it is in a very convenient location to stay. Near shopping, entertainment, food, and everything else you would need to walk to. Just like at the Holiday Inn Resort Aruba and Casino, No sense in renting a car for the full stay. It would be nice to rent a car for a day or two to adventure the island and see the places you can’t walk to such as the lighthouse, butterfly farm, ostrich farm, etc.
Travel Note
Make sure to stay on Palm Beach. That is where the wedding will be hosted, and it’s the nicest area to stay. You can walk to everything you need such as malls, food, and entertainment. Eagle beach is the other option. It is nice, but it is far away. If you chose to stay there, make sure to rent a car for the duration of your stay.
Travel Note
There are some cute boutique hotels that are 4-5 star rated, and are anywhere from $40/night and up. They aren’t on the water though. That’s the disadvantage, but some of them are a close walk or drive from the beach!
Rental Car
Rental cars are running about $17.00 a day, so if you do want to stay off of Palm Beach, they are affordable. We rented a car for 2 days the last time we went to Aruba, and it allowed us to adventure the Island a bit and see what else it had to offer such as the Lighthouse, ostrich farm, butterfly farm, etc.. I do recommend looking into getting a car, even if it is just for a day. The island is truly beautiful with lots to do.
Travel Note
As on now, you are required by Aruba to have a negative PCR swab before you can enter Aruba. You may get it at the airport and wait, people are saying it’s about 2 hours. They are discussing soon about the restrictions and changing them since the US is now requiring one too and since people are starting to get vaccinated. Nothing yet, but will keep updating as information comes to me. I have been in contact with the equivalent of their local health department. This is part of the ED card. Refer to below
Travel Note
All visitors (including children) will be required to complete the online Embarkation/Disembarkation card process and be approved in order to be permitted entry to Aruba. The new ED card process includes five components.
