We met at Zeal Church in 2022. Bryan was a team lead of the usher team, and Samantha started serving on his team. We both say now that we thought the other person was cute, but since Bryan was in a leadership role to Samantha, neither of us wanted to admit it! We became friends and started hanging out in a friend group, where they spent many Saturday nights out on Broadway followed by many early mornings serving at church. We gradually started texting every day, but one weekend, Bryan decided he wanted to ghost Samantha (although Bryan says Samantha ghosted him). Bryan says it was because he realized he liked Samantha but didn't want to ruin their friendship by telling her that. After a few months of intermittently talking, Bryan asks Samantha if they can go to church together. They go to lunch afterwards, where Bryan almost immediately asks Samantha if she is dating anyone. Once he knew she was single and he was in the clear, he told her that he had feelings for her, and at the end of the date, Bryan asked Samantha if he could take her out the next week. They spent a few weeks trying to figure out if they were friends or more than that, and their first official date night was at Puttshack (where Samantha beat Bryan). Samantha and Bryan had been dating for 10 months when Bryan proposed overlooking their favorite city, Nashville. Samantha had no clue it was happening that day; she was so surprised, she forgot to say "yes" when Bryan asked her to marry him. Bryan pulled off a major surprise, even having Samantha's family surprise her by coming to town and coordinating a surprise engagement party with family and friends at Monday Night Brewery. We are incredibly honored and grateful that the Lord has brought us into each others' lives to be partners for life. We can't to celebrate with you soon!
