If it's your first time visiting Wisconsin or the Upper Midwest, here are some things that you'll want to keep in mind as you plan your trip. Milwaukee's General Mitchell Airport (MKE) is one of the easiest to fly into and Milwaukee is about a 3 hour drive from Egg Harbor, WI in Door County where we will be having our wedding celebration. Green Bay also has an airport and is about an hour from Egg Harbor. The final option is Chicago which has Midway and O'Hare Airports which are about 1-1/2 to 2 hours from Milwaukee and about 4-1/2 hours from Egg Harbor. Once in Door County, there are multiple amazing towns that you will be able to find great lodging accommodations. We will be staying at the Alpine Resort where the ceremony and reception will be held which is in the Village of Egg Harbor. The Landmark resort is also a great option in Egg Harbor. We have stayed in some great Air BnBs in the area that range from amazing lakefront views to cozy cottages tucked away in the woods.

Flight

Milwaukee General Mitchell Airport (MKE)

Milwaukee's General Mitchell Airport will likely the be the best airport to fly into based on flight route (may not have direct flights), flight cost, and distance from the area of the wedding. Green Bay's airport will be closer to the wedding but likely longer, more expensive flights. Chicago will have the shortest flights with the most non-stop options and will have the longest drive to the wedding location.

Join us on the resort and stay in a cozy, lake-side cottage or clubhouse on the golf course at the Alpine Resort. There will be 1, 2, and 3-bedroom cottages with 1-bathroom and clubhouses available to our guests. There is a 3 night minimum stay and we are currently planning on staying from Thursday 9/19 - Sunday 9/22. The Landmark Resort is the largest resort in Door County and is located just 2 minutes away from the Alpine Resort where the wedding ceremony and reception will take place. With breathtaking views, numerous amenities, a delicious award-winning restaurant, and an unbeatable location near the Village of Egg Harbor, the Landmark Resort is an amazing option for your stay. This resort requires a 2-night minimum stay and features 1-bed / 1-bath, 2-bed / 1-bath, 2-bed / 2-bath, and 3-bed / 2-bath options. All rooms include Free wi-fi, balcony or patio, dining area, refrigerator, stove or stovetop, microwave, toaster, coffee bar, fully supplied kitchen, and TV.

Air BnB

If you're not interested in staying in a Cottage at the Alpine Resort or at the Landmark Resort, we would strongly recommend check out the Air BnBs in the area. We have stayed in some absolutely amazing places in this area that ranged from a lakeside cabin with an amazing lake view, hot tub on the deck, kayaks and e-bikes to a cottage nestled in the woods. Lots of great options out there! The wedding and ceremony will be in Egg Harbor and most of the other cities are 15 minutes away with Ellison Bay being the furthest at a 30 minute drive away.
