The Basin Cascade Trail
This is a family-friendly, partially paved 2.6 mile out-and-back trail. The route goes by multiple cascading waterfalls and deep pools that are popular for wading and swimming. The Basin pothole is the deepest pothole in the White Mountains. Dogs are welcome and may be off-leash in some areas. Directions: Follow signs on I-93/Route 3 for the Basin/Basin parking lots. Drive time from venue: 41 minutes
Artist Bluff Trail
A popular hike with a stunning view of Echo Lake and Franconia Notch! Located near Cannon Mountain, this is a moderately challenging 1.5 mile loop trail. Shoes with good traction are recommended. Hiker parking is located off Rt 18 in the big dirt lot across the street from the Cannon Mountain base area. Drive time from venue: 38 minutes
Echo Lake Beach
Right at the base of Cannon Mountain, this is a great place to enjoy a picnic and some fall foliage! Plus, Artist Bluff trail is right across the street. Drive time from venue: 38 minutes
Town of Littleton
Littleton is a great place to stop for shopping and dining and is home to the world's longest candy counter! Drive time from venue: 49 minutes
Squam Lakes Natural Science Center
Squam Lakes Natural Science Center is an environmental education center and zoo. It's a wonderful place for hiking, birdwatching, and more. It features boardwalk and paved paths. Drive time from venue: 33 minutes
