Is it okay to bring my children or pets?
Answer
We think that it is really important for us that our loved ones are able to celebrate with us. We didn't want to limit people's ability to come to our celebration because of difficulties finding child care or making the decision to leave a partner behind. Our celebration will be kid-friendly. We just ask if your child is upset or being a bit disruptive during the ceremony attempt to walk them over to the main lodge until they feel better. We will be hiring photographers to videotape our ceremony and would prefer as few disruptions as possible during that time. We appreciate your understanding. On the other hand, pets will not be allowed at the venue. The owners of the venue prefer to not have pets due to the wildlife that inhabits the area. They prefer pets stay at home to ensure wildlife is not disrupted or pets potentially hurt by wildlife while at the venue. The owners have been especially kind and helpful to us and want to respect the owner's wishes and don't want to cause any issues. There is a very cute venue cat though that lives on the property you will likely see and if she is feeling up to it you may even meet.

Do I Need to Get Lodging?

Deer Creek Mountain camp includes on-site lodging for 104 people 8 cabins that fit 10 people each and Arapahoe Lodge that fit 24. Both of us wanted our guests to enjoy themselves and celebrate with us for our weekend celebration. We are including the onsite lodging for our guests to stay. Deer Creek Mountain Camp gives you the summer camp experience which includes the UNCOMFORTABLE bunk beds. We suggest that if you decide to stay onsite you bring a pillow, blankets, or sleeping bags. We want to note that there are a total of 104 beds. While there may be enough beds for a guest and their plus one, we can't ensure there will be enough beds for those who are also bringing their children. If you intend on bringing children and want to lodge onsite I suggest letting us know. So that we may include them in our RSVP count and could tell you if that is doable or not. The Bailey Lodge is 12 minutes away from the venue and rates range from 120 to 200 per night.
Question
What is The Dress Code?
Answer
For the ceremony, we ask for guests to dress in business casual. You can dress it down with jeans. After the ceremony and dinner, we will give everyone the chance to dress in something more comfortable and relaxed. We will also be doing the same! Also, note that we completely expect our guests to take advantage of the amenities at the venue. Which include hiking, a volleyball court, and a basketball court. So please feel free to bring a change of clothes that would suit those activities as well.

What If I Have Any Dietary Requirements or Restrictions?
Answer
We will have vegan and vegetarian options incorporated within our food options for guests. If you have a specific allergy or dietary need that requires our attention I would suggest emailing that information over to us so that we may take that information to our food vendor so they may address it.
