Lilly and I had one class together during our freshman year at Illinois State University that was for future high school math teachers. Lilly left ISU to eventually become the owner of Lilly's Bridal Hair and Make Up. I watched Lilly's business grow and would randomly message her. For some reason she didn't think I was too weird and would still respond to me. In 2017, Lilly got engaged and I somehow (after potentially not seeing her since 2014?) had the guts to ask her to do her engagement pictures to see if I wanted to get into the bridal industry at all (spoiler: I never edited her photos and I never got into the bridal industry). Our friendship really started to blossom in 2021 and gets stronger every time we move closer and closer to each other. Lilly has been the perfect best friend to take me through all the highs and lows.

We met shortly after college through our mutual friend Tyler. We’re both aerospace engineers who started our careers in manufacturing/machining. Share a lot of similar interests and have really gotten closer as friends when we started regularly climbing together. He was the first to find out about Sam and I dating and has been part of our relationship very early on.

Tristelle (Ate Resmae) is my older cousin so we've never been in the same phase of our lives together, but it's always felt like we've been on a similar path. We were on dance teams in high school, we craft as much as we can, and we always put family first. When Bohdan and I started dating in 2024, I finally got the nerve to ask Ate Resmae and Kuya Ryan if we could babysit their kids so they could have a date night once a month. They were excited to get to have some time together and I was really happy to get closer to the family (and see if Bohdan was a good uncle lol). Each month we would catch up with each other's lives and find how similar we are in values. She is the person in the family that I can go to for advice (other than my mom) because I know she will keep me level headed and true to myself.

We became friends in college doing nerdy stuff like board games, anime, ttrpgs, etc. We’ve played games together, lived together, and owned the same house (long story). He has also sparked my passion for my current hobbies of warhammer and painting minis.

Angie was my first friend in the corporate world. We sat right next to each other and talked so much that my boss told me to cool it (oops!). It's been so fun to tell each other about how our lives are going and see that it has been getting better and better every year for both of us. If you wanted to know anything that has happened in my life since I started the job in March of 2022, it would be easier to get an accurate answer from Angie. I've told her just about everything and her memory is insanely good. She has reminded me about my own life events on several occasions. P.s. When I matched with Bohdan on Hinge, I showed Angie my phone because I had never seen the name "Bohdan" before. She had seen the name before, kind of giggled, and confirmed I was saying it correctly.

I feel like we’ve been in each other’s lives for some of the most important parts of life, like college, first job, marriage, his first child etc. And our friend group is a place I always feel welcome and can rely on for support.

Rini (right) and Rhysa (left) are Resmae and Ryan's adorable children. We have enjoyed watching them grow up and become such intelligent and creative kids. We look forward to our hangouts with them every month and can't wait for them to help show our future children the ropes.
