Weddings can bring up lots of questions. We have answered the most commonly asked questions below. If you have any further questions, please reach out to Sam or Ayan.
Question

How should I dress?

Answer

We are so excited to bring our worlds and cultures together at this wedding. That being said, there will likely be a variety of attire including: beach cocktail attire, suits and ties, stylish aloha shirts with nice slacks, Indian attire, and the occasional military dress uniform. Please note the wedding, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place on a lawn right on the beach. Wear footwear that allows you to safely walk and dance!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Before it starts! Please arrive by 4pm and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Ceremony will begin at 4:30pm, as it is timed with the Maui sunset.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes. There is a parking garage at the Marriott Beach Resort Hotel. The ceremony and reception are both at the Marriott Beach Resort Hotel. If you self-park in the garage, the hotel will have free validated parking for all wedding guests. Free self-parking will be for day of the wedding as well as the Post-wedding Get Together on Sunday, March 2nd. If you are staying nearby, the wedding is taking place along the main walking path along the beach that is open to the public. Feel free to walk on up!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Your kids are so cute and we love them, but the wedding ceremony and reception will be adults only. Please enjoy the night off from raising your wonderful little humans! We will be doing some other events (please see "Schedule" tab) and we welcome all the kiddos!

Is there a shuttle between hotels and the ceremony?

Answer

There will not be transportation specially arranged for wedding, as the ceremony and reception will take place at the Marriott Beach Resort. If you are staying at another hotel or Air BnB nearby, there will be free self-parking in the hotel garage. There are many nearby hotels that are walking distance to the area of the wedding ceremony. Some hotels also offer shuttle services.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We plan on kicking off the celebration with our wedding, but the following days we have a few things planned in case you are able to join us. Please see the "Schedule" tab for more details. We are still finalizing some details, so stay tuned!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, you can make a note in your RSVP for any food allergies.
