Santa Barbara is famous for its walkable downtown, particularly the pedestrian-only State Street! Spend a beautiful California afternoon strolling around the endless shops, coffee spots and restaurants. Some of our favorite places on State are the Oat Bakery for pastries and bread, Handlebar Coffee for a latte, and Institution Ale Co. for a beer.
Southern California is known for its Mexican food and Los Agaves is Samantha's all-time favorite. With two locations in SB and one in Goleta, you should be able to get your fill of tacos and margs before some of you return to Mexican food mediocrity in New England.
The waterfront in general is one of our favorite places to be, but October is one of the best months to go whale watching in Santa Barbara! The Condor Express takes passengers out to the Channel Islands to see humpback, blue, and minke whales during their peak feeding season in fall, and children under 5 ride for free!
The Funk Zone is one of the most unique parts of SB, filled with boutique shops, art, cafes, and our favorite local breweries! Some of favorite places to grab a drink are Figueroa Mountain, Lama Dog, Pali Wine Co., and Topa Topa (our last flight shown in the picture above.)
