We both went to the UVU Emerald Ball and were brought together by our mutual friend Kacy Woodward (we're giving credit where it's due). For our first date, he set us up to go with a group to Fear Factory. Going through a terrifying haunted house with a stranger proved to be the best bonding activity for us. We talked the WHOLE time about random stuff. We didn't even notice that the car radio wasn't on the entire drive there and back. We stood in line for two hours in the freezing cold...(which made a great excuse for him to put his arm around her to stay warm!) We got out of the haunted house around 2 am and went to Denny's with our group. The date officially ended around 5 am! Around five hours later Samantha got a call from Bryson asking her on their second date to pick pumpkins and make cookies.
It was a Friday shortly after Samantha got back from visiting her family in Colorado. We started the day off as a double date in downtown Salt Lake City with Courtinie, Bryson's sister, and her boyfriend Ian. - When we got to Salt Lake City for our first date we drove around for a while looking for our group and found a place to park for a moment near the gateway mall downtown. - So for the proposal, we decided to finally go on a scooter ride around town that we had been talking about doing ever since that first date. We ended up passing by the Salt Lake temple that was under construction and walking around the City Creek Mall where he took her up to the bridge over Main street. He took a knee with both of her hands in his and she smiles and says "REALLY?" he nods and says "Samantha Jemma Harding, Will you marry me?" and she said "Yes!".
We hope to be sealed in the Payson, Utah temple as soon as Samantha can take out her endowments! The temples are still not open for live endowments, so we are currently planning a civil wedding and will be sealed at a later date. As soon as possible of course!
