For the wedding ceremony, dinner, dancing, and moonlit revelry on 04/12/2025!

Lani and Sam met through the dating app Tinder - they matched and began talking immediately. A few short hours after matching and talking they made plans to meet up in Lawrence where Sam was living at the time. Their first date was 04/02/2022 - since then they have been inseparable. On their second date Sam brought Lani a bouquet of roses - which Lani shared was the first time someone bought her flowers. They hung those up to dry, and when Sam proposed on September 17th, 2023, she made a shadow box with those roses and many other dried flowers from the (usually weekly) flowers she makes sure to bring home for Lani. Lani was so overwhelmed with the gift alone she did not realize that Sam was proposing and ended up replying to "Will you do me the honor of being my wife?" with a choked up "okay". Which is very on brand for these two. Lani then surprised Sam during their engagement photo shoot, by asking her to marry her at the most beautiful spot in the park they chose to get the pictures taken at. They were surrounded by sunlight and trees and it took everything in Sam to not cry and ruin her makeup before the photos!
