Mothers really do know best. Damien and I had been neighbors for 18 years with absolutely no conversation between the two of us. One day, Jill (Damiens Mom) had invited myself and my mother out to their property in Brinnon, WA for the day. Damien and I spoke for the first time butterflies hit immediately. Another occasion occurred at the Limerick Lounge (AKA Damiens parents bar in their house) we picked up where we had left off. We then found each other on Facebook had quite a few dates and many trips back and forth between the two houses and the rest is history.
Damien was very patient as I was finishing up college. He wanted to wait until the perfect moment to ask me to marry him. With buying our first house and myself still being in college it was a tricky time as we wanted to both focus on our careers and house first. However, Damien was about to take me on the trip of a lifetime to meet his family in Limerick, Ireland. He decided about a month before we left to pop the question. He dropped down on one knee in our bedroom and asked me to marry him.
