Flight
For those flying in, we recommend Chicago O’Hare (ORD) for the most flight options and reliability—it’s about an hour and 15 minutes from Lake Geneva. Milwaukee (MKE) is another great choice, just a 45-minute scenic drive to the lake. Madison (MSN) also offers many nonstop flights and is about an hour and 15 minutes away. We recommend renting a car.
Hotel
We’ve reserved a room block at The Abbey Resort from Thursday, September 10 through Sunday, September 13, with a two-night minimum stay. Rooms are limited, so we encourage you to book early. Please reserve your room by August 10, 2026. When booking, please select “Group Code” (not promo code) and enter: 1234E8. The Abbey Resort is right on the lake and centrally located for all of our wedding events: the welcome party on Friday evening, the ceremony at St. Benedict’s, the reception at Big Foot Country Club, and the after party at Chuck’s Lakeshore Inn. The Abbey is our recommended hotel for guests.

The Fontana Village Inn is another hotel option located in Fontana, just a short drive from our ceremony and reception venues. We’ve arranged a discounted rate for our guests through the Bell-Hummel wedding block. This hotel is a great option for guests who prefer more flexibility with their stay, as it does not require a two-night minimum like The Abbey Resort. When booking online or by phone, please mention the Bell-Hummel wedding block to receive the discounted rate.
