Our Story

Our love language: boarding passes and FaceTime.

Our story began all the way back in fourth grade, when we were selected for an elementary school outing called Tech Wizards. What we thought would be a boring and forgettable educational field trip quickly became a very memorable first impression for both of us. That morning, we rode to a local community college in a school van, with Addison cracking jokes from the back row. Although we grew up just five minutes down the road from one another, this was our very first meeting, as we attended different elementary schools. Upon arrival, Addison immediately found the breakfast buffet and attempted to fit as many powdered donuts into his mouth as possible, while everyone else counted and laughed. Not much has changed! We became close friends throughout middle and high school, often spending weekends going to movies, dinners, and football games with our friend group. It wasn’t until later in high school, while working together at the local ice cream shop, Corner Cone, that something more began to develop. Addison started finding reasons to talk to Samantha and even showed up for shifts he wasn’t scheduled for, just to spend more time together. After months filled with long drives, mini-golf dates, and spending the fall semester of senior year side by side, Addison made things official. Homecoming, prom, and senior week were all spent together. That same year, Samantha was accepted into Penn State University, and Addison was accepted into the United States Air Force Academy. Although we decided to finish senior year together, we entered our freshman year of college single, worried about the challenges of long distance (Addison would probably tell you this was not his idea! LOL). We stayed in touch through letters during Addison’s basic training and sent occasional texts throughout the fall semester, until COVID sent both of us back home. The silver lining of the pandemic was that it helped us find our way back to each other and realize exactly what we wanted—to be together. From there, our long-distance journey truly began. We logged countless miles, booked endless flights, and relied heavily on FaceTime, airplanes, and our family's support. Our travels took us through airports in Denver, Colorado Springs, State College, Philadelphia, and beyond. We supported each other through each of our college experiences, including applications to graduate programs. Samantha was accepted to the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, and just one month later, Addison learned the Air Force was sending him to Hanscom Air Force Base outside of Boston. While another four years of distance wasn’t ideal, we both knew it was worth it, shifting our most frequented airports to Detroit and Boston. Through the distance came unforgettable adventures, unwavering support, and a love that only continued to grow stronger. In December of 2025, Addison proposed to Samantha in Lehighton, right where it all began. We look forward to closing the distance in 2027 and starting the next chapter together in Massachusetts. To our family and friends, we are incredibly grateful for all of your love and support and cannot wait to celebrate with you!
