Things To Do

Pike Place Market

Pike Place Market

Seattle, WA

Pike Place Market is near and dear to our hearts and a staple of Seattle. We got engaged right outside of Pike Place. Don't forget to check out the gum wall and the first Starbucks which are also located at Pike Place.

The Pink Door

1919 Post Alley, Seattle, WA 98101

This is the restaurant we went to after getting engaged.

Space Needle

400 Broad Street, Seattle, WA 98109

Another staple of Seattle. If you have time and have never been, it is worth going.

Smith Tower Observatory Bar

506 2nd Avenue, Seattle, WA 98104

Similar to the space needle and closer to the hotel, this is a tall building in which you can see the city. They also have a cute bar where you can enjoy drinks and food.

Bainbridge Island

Bainbridge Island, WA

If you have extra time, we highly recommend taking a ferry to Bainbridge Island. There are many wineries, restaurants, and small shops to explore. This makes for a great day trip if you're looking for something to do!

Alki Beach

Seattle, WA 98116

If you are looking to take a walk along a beach, even though it’s winter, this is the perfect place. You can take the ferry to Alki and it’s a short distance as well as a cheap ride.

Fremont Vintage Mall

3419 Fremont Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98103

Sam’s fave thrift store. Also Fremont is just a cool part of Seattle to explore if you have extra time.

The Lemon Grove

165 South Jackson Street, Seattle, WA 98104

Sam’s second favorite thrift store and it’s right around the corner from the hotel so super convenient.

Arundel Books

Sam's favorite book store that’s closest to the hotel

Elliott Bay Book Company

Storyville Coffee Pike Place

94 Pike Street, Seattle, WA 98101

Best coffee shop in Pike Place Market.

Ludi's Restaurant

120 Stewart Street, Seattle, WA 98101

Filipino/American breakfast and brunch spot near Pike Place. Open from 7a-3p and they do not have reservations available. Sometimes there is a line outside but it moves very quickly.

Mirabelle by Orphée

616 1st Avenue, Seattle, WA 98104

Parisian Cafe with great pastries, coffee, and breakfast options.

Dough Zone

504 5th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98104

Modern, causal, and affordable Chinese dumpling spot. One of our favorite places.

Ramen DANBO Capitol Hill

1222 East Pine Street, Seattle, WA 98122

If you are looking for the best Ramen you have ever experienced, look no further. This is the place for you. It's so good that many times there is a line out the door but 100% worth the wait.

One of the bars we visited 4 years ago when Sam had a travel contract in Seattle.

The Rabbit Box

94 Pike Street, Seattle, WA 98101

This is a small venue within Pike Place that has a more intimate vibe for music shows, comedians, and poets. The price for a show is typically less than $20. They do have cocktails and food.

Dimitriou's Jazz Alley

2033 6th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98121

We love catching Jazz shows here! Make sure to buy a ticket before going. They also offer great dinner options.
