We met in Abilene, Texas a small West Texas town where somehow, two Arizona kids ended up just a few miles apart. I was at Abilene Christian University, and Sam was just down the road at Hardin-Simmons. We were just friends until we realized it was something more at the end of our sophomore year. Sam played baseball and I played volleyball, and we spent the rest of college navigating life together, from busy seasons to everything in between. Not long after we started dating, we found out our great-grandfathers had actually worked together back in Arizona at Paul’s, Sam’s family’s original hardware store in Old Town Scottsdale, just steps from our wedding venue and next to my grandpa’s former real estate office. It was a connection that felt like more than coincidence. After graduating, we moved back to Arizona and have continued doing life together from our home town. Now, after three years, we couldn’t be more excited to step into this next chapter, surrounded by the people who mean the most to us.
