What does "black tie encouraged" mean?

Answer

Men are encouraged to wear tuxedos, and we'd love to see the women in floor length gowns. While black tie attire is preferred, a formal dark suit or evening dress is also welcomed. We find joy in any excuse to dress up and hope you will share in that with us!
