The last thing we wanted to do was disrespect the residents by coming to the island while they were mourning. After speaking with our vendors on the island, it was abundantly clear how badly they desired our business and begged us not to cancel the wedding. The people of Maui are hurting, but they need our business now more than ever.
Most of the wedding party has booked their stay on Maui's West side in Kaanapali, Napili, and Kapalua. I have spoken with many residents and business owners who have said Maui's West side has not been affected and is safe to travel to. However, if you're looking for a shorter drive to the wedding, consider booking your stay in Kihei, Wailea, or Makena.
Several airlines have been making changes to their schedule to Maui. If you've already bought your tickets, ensure they're current. If you still need to buy your flights, be aware the times may change after purchasing.
"Fancy beach attire" is the dress code we made up for this event. We want you to be comfortable but also to look nice. For instance, a Hawaiian button-down shirt and slacks are perfectly acceptable. Ladies, we don't recommend wearing high-heals because most of the venue is on grass.
Most definitely! We've put down a certain amount, which should satisfy the first couple of rounds or more. After a certain point, the bar will become a cash bar.
Of course, little ones are allowed. Please let us know if they will attend so we can make proper accommodations.
