Taylor and Sam met the way many modern couples do...through a dating app! Sam gave Taylor his number, but she never texted him - call her old fashioned, but she believed he should've asked for her number! Luckily, they had a mutual friend, which paved the way for Taylor saying “yes” when Sam asked her on a first date. Since then, they’ve traveled the world, explored every corner of Colorado, started a life together in Denver, made each other’s family and friends their own, and have an adorable mini-golden doodle named Winston.
In the height of covid, Taylor and Sam made the long drive back to see both of their families for an extended amount of time since they were both working remotely. In early August, they took a trip to upstate New York to Saranac Lake with Sam's family. The day of the proposal, Taylor learned how to water ski - little did she know that wouldn't be the highlight of the day! After a day on the lake, they had plans to go out to eat on a patio - an elaborate plan to get Taylor to dress up. Right before dinner, Sam asked Taylor to quickly go walk Winston together before leaving. They walked to the end of the road and came to a beautiful overlook of the Adirondack Mountains. While Taylor was looking out, Sam got down on one knee and popped the question. Taylor immediately began crying and said yes! Meanwhile, Winston spotted Sam's brothers, who were hiding in a bush the whole time taking pictures!
