This is one of our favorite spots in Chicago’s restaurant district! We've enjoyed birthday and valentine's day dinners here! (great cocktails and excellent shared plates) Badass lady Top Chef winner (Stephanie Izard) opened this restaurant a few years back.
iO Theater
Seriously some of the best stand up comedy in the country! Much better than Second City (native Chicagoans agree)! Be prepared to laugh, but in a way that makes you feel good about the world, not bad! (no homophobic, or bigoted nonsense). Folks from IO have gone on to 30 Rock, the daily show, SNL, etc.

Rent a bike and explore the city! We highly recommend taking a ride down by the lake! Montrose Beach and the Museum Campus ( Google the Adler Planetarium or Shedd Aquarium to find the "museum campus" this area has particularly beautiful places to admire the Chicago skyline!
