"Essentially we are in school together since the 4th grade, but we really didn't know each other until sophmore year of high school. On the first day of 10th grade, I was worried about getting to my Spanish II class on time. On this detail, we always debate about who sat next to whom. However, I feel like I sat down in front of the class first, and then Sneha came to class and sat next to me. Honestly, she definitely caught my eye the moment we sat together with her infectious smile and personality. I just had a gut feeling that this girl is special and will hold a special place in my heart. And yes, I didn't learn much Spanish that year." - Sam Shaji “We met in our Spanish 2 class during our sophomore year of high school. I’m fairly certain that Sam came and sat next to me, and it wasn’t long before we were teasing each other, making fun memories, and becoming the best of friends. I always looked forward to Spanish class because I knew it meant I’d get to sit next to this charming guy and talk to him throughout the entire class period, even though we weren’t supposed to. By the end of that year, I knew Sam was going to be someone special in my life, and throughout the years, he’s always been my person.” - Sneha Thomas
It was a very simple date, but it was when we went to our first Thai restaurant date in Sugar Land. It was still an early phase of our relationship, but this was a very memorable date for me. We shared the love of Thai food for the first time, and we talked until they kicked us out about the most important things to us and our future. We were able to be vulnerable with each other, and I believe it set the tone for our relationship going forward. -Sam Shaji There have been numerous dates I’d consider my favorite, but our first date at the Museum of Fine Arts stands out as one of the most memorable. Even though I had known Sam for a long time by then, I remember getting ready for this date and still feeling nervous and excited. As we walked through the museum, we moved quickly through each collection but often stopped to sit on random benches and talk for what felt like hours just opening up to each other. I truly cherished our conversations, the laughter, and the wonderful memories we made that day. - Sneha Thomas
I cherish the ability to do life with a women who loves others so purely and loves Jesus so well. Since high school, Sneha has been a person I can ask for prayers in my life, and I know in our marriage that we will get to go through this journey with Christ being the center. - Sam Shaji I cherish that I get to experience all of life’s moments with a man I can be vulnerable with, who consistently builds me up, loves the Lord wholeheartedly, and constantly reflects the love of Christ. He’s truly my best friend, and I can’t wait to do life with him! -Sneha Thomas
“Thai food takeout and Movie Night” - Sam Shaji “A cozy movie night in, but with a movie selection of Sam’s choice, because mine have proven to be questionable.” -Sneha Thomas
