We are hoping that everyone can join us in cocktail attire. The ceremony and reception will be held outside so it would be a good idea to bring a jacket. We think it would be great if everyone could dress in fall colors to mirror the leaves and the beautiful environment we will be celebrating in. We know budgets and comfort can be limiting on clothing options so ultimately we will be happy to have you with us even if you show up in a trash bag. Like a fall colored trash bag. It's fun to dress up every now and then and we can't wait to see how nice everyone looks.
We wish we could have everyone bring a partner or friend with them however we are limited on guests by the venue and our catering budget. Weddings are expensive y'all! We know we know... Everything is these days. So due to this we ask that only people with additional seats assigned to them on their RSVP's bring an additional guest. If anything changes we will keep everyone updated!
We ask that you let us know if you will be attending no later than September 20th. That will allow us to take a final count for the caterer to make sure that everyone gets fed! If you have any dietary restrictions please let us know on your RSVP.
We are very lucky to have found a wonderful caterer Andrea with Catering Temptations who is going to be making us a delicious feast of Pork Loin, Chicken Cordon Bleu, Green beans, Roasted baby potatoes, and Fresh Bread. There will also be a small appetizer for everyone to munch on while we take family pictures and get ready to greet y'all as Mrs. and Mrs. We will also have Water, Lemonade, and Sweet Tea. We will have a delicious cake made by Debbie with Taste of Eden Bakery for dessert.
We looked long and hard to find a wonderful photographer to capture our day so we ask that during the ceremony itself everyone puts their phones away and just be in the moment with us. During the reception please feel free to take as many videos and pictures as you would like. Just make sure to hashtag us on Insta #sher-munz2024.
The unfortunate answer is no. Due to strict venue guidelines (and the fact that we are not independently wealthy) there will be no alcohol permitted on the property. There will be plenty of non-boozy beverages for everyone however so no one will go thirsty!
The venue owner has asked that we park along the road that leads up to the ridge. We are not allowed to drive up the hill to the pavilion unless we have an attendee that is handicapped. If you have any mobility issues please let us know and we will do everything possible to ensure that we make the necessary accommodations for you. Parking will be down a fairly narrow lane so please be considerate of other wedding guests when choosing how and where to park to make sure there is plenty of room.
We are lucky that our venue has an indoor space should the weather rain on our parade. We will move the reception up to the main house in case of inclement weather. The pavilion where the ceremony is being held will be covered so we will be a-ok there.
While we know that some wedding ceremonies are long and drawn out we will do our best to be brief. Our wonderful officiant Leah has prepared a beautiful ceremony while also letting us share a few words with each other. Total we are hoping to keep the sitting to under 30-40 minutes.
We plan on starting the ceremony at 6 with the reception to follow after a brief picture break. It's ok there will be a snack before dinner while we make everyone wait. The reception has to end at 9 on the dot because it's like really really expensive if we aren't cleaned up and gone by 10. So if anyones wants to stay to help clean up please feel free and see Christine the co-ordinator for instructions!
