What time should I arrive?

We will be starting promptly at 5:00pm in the Empire Ballroom at the Palmer House. We recommend entering the hotel on Monroe Street. We understand city traffic can be unpredictable, so please make an extra effort to arrive early if you are traveling by car. The hotel has a beautiful lobby to enjoy if you are early.

Is there parking?

Answer

Yes, the Palmer House has valet parking on Monroe Street. Non-overnight valet parking will be discounted to a rate of $36 per car for the night of our wedding. We understand that parking can be expensive -- please check out the multiple Spothero parking sites located near the venue for cheaper rates.

Can I bring a plus-one? Are children invited?

All invitations include the number of additional seats we have reserved for you!

Are there any colors I should avoid?

Answer

Our wedding will be colorful and the bride will not be wearing a traditional white dress. Please wear whatever color you would like.

What will the weather in Chicago be like?

Answer

October in Chicago is beautiful. It will likely range from 50-70 degrees outside with possible rain. We would recommend a light jacket and umbrella if you are traveling and exploring the city. Our wedding will be completely indoors.

What's on the menu?

Answer

We will be having traditional Pakistani food for our family-style dinner. There will be chicken, beef, and veggie options. If you have specific dietary restrictions, please let us know! Additionally, our event will be liquor-free. We will have mocktails available throughout.

Are you accepting gifts/registry?

Answer

Please know that your presence at our wedding is more than enough. For those who still prefer to give a gift, we will have a card box available at the event. Please no boxed gifts. Thank you for being a part of our special day!
