Maid of Honor
It's a tale as old as time. Two girls with the same name have two options when faced with an almost identical freshman year schedule. Either become mortal enemies or the most chaotic duo. Luckily we chose the second option. Wattles, as we affectionately call her, is and has always been the life of any party that is lucky enough to have her. Catch her at the wedding sipping shots like a psychopath and cracking jokes about which one the Sams is the best Sam.
Best Man
I know what you're thinking, how many Sam's are at this wedding? They say you don't know somebody until you quarantine with them for a year. Or at least that's probably what Sam and Noah would say. Most of the time when people are referring to Noah and Sam, they are speaking about the unshakeable bromance between him and Boy Sam. Catch Sam on the night of the wedding somehow chatting up everyone at the wedding and also tearing it up on the dance floor.
Bridesmaid
There are not many people that know Sam better than Olivia or Macie got to know me as roommates. Some people would describe Olivia by talking about her passion for marine science or her ability to always be the most authentic version of herself. What I think everyone should know about Olivia is her obsession with popcorn and the fact that she was the only person the hamster I had in college liked. Catch Olivia playing with our dog June during probably the whole night.
Groomsman
Alex and Noah started their friendship with Overwatch and DnD, which I'm told was really really cool. It's easy to get along with Alex thanks to his incredibly chill and fun personality. The OG Windcroft Manor group was Noah, Sam, and Alex, who unfortunately got the small room, but it's alright because the house motto was "Big Room Sucks." Originally known as the chicken man, he even stole Noah this ugly Zaxby's shirt that Noah still wears a lot (thanks Alex), and now he spends his days making the best doughnuts in north GA. Catch Alex at the wedding mostly just being thankful he didn't have to make any of the desserts.
Bridesmaid
Haven and Sam started talking at a USC football game and neither of us has stopped talking since. It is upsetting to think of all the time we wasted in the library because we just had to talk for hours about some show that only the two of us had watched or what our plans were after school. This girl has such passion and charisma that I'm convinced she could take over the world if she decided she wanted to one day. Catch Haven at the wedding making new best friends everywhere she turns, probably wearing a pair of cowboy boots, and definitely requesting a country music song.
Groomsman
Chandler or Chuck ONC (ask him what that stands for) is the middle Walker brother who upon first meeting Sam chose to literally juggle knives. Chandler puts his whole mind into absolutely anything he does and because of that, he's probably an expert on hundreds of topics. Everyone knows the most recent passions of Chandler include the strides he has made as a chef and the incredibly addictive Pokemon Go. Catch Chandler at the wedding catching a shiny Zapdos and here's to hoping that the venue registers as a gym on the app!
Bridesmaid
Amanda exists in two realms, almost as two different people. In one sense, Amanda is probably the kindest and most compassionate person I have ever met. It is so hard to find somebody that will drop everything to just get food and talk right when you need it, but Amanda is somehow always there. In the other sense, I have an incredible amount of videos of her doing the craziest shit you've ever seen. Either way, you can catch Amanda at the wedding (hopefully in a light-up cowboy hat) probably crying just like when I asked her to be a bridesmaid.
Groomsman
Noah had no idea what was gonna happen when Jake walked up to him second semester freshman year and informed him that they were gonna be friends. Flash forward to many, many years later and these two have survived the corporate hell that was MarketSource. Now Jacob is the official dad of the group and we can't wait to see where his life takes him next. Catch Jacob reminding people to stay hydrated while showing off pictures of his beautiful daughter.
Bridesmaid
If you ask me how Sam and Megan became friends, I'll tell you this sweet story about us being in a show together in high school and then bonding on a tubing lake day. Unfortunately, Megan would tell a different story about me taking a role she was promised that I swear was on accident! Anyway, Megan and I survived the long-distance shuffle thanks to our relationship always being able to pick right up where we left off. Catch Megan at the wedding being asked all night if she is my sister (she's not) and being told that we look alike (we do).
Groomswoman
Friendships last through thick and thin, right? Well, Alicia and Noah have experienced a lot of thickness in life together. In the pit of hell that is the Atlanta PR industry, these two met and instantly knew they needed to lean on each other in order to survive. They continued to work together for years, but unfortunately for a company that wasn't much better than what they had been through prior. Alicia knows how to bring up the mood though, throwing the parties so wild that maybe someone she knows might have totally fallen asleep after one in her laundry room. Catch Alicia at the wedding making all of us look like fools on the dance floor and definitely catching the bouquet.
Bridesman
Do you ever meet someone and just know immediately that this person has to be in your life forever? Another bridesmaid, Kate, introduced me formally to Bryant in the library a few years ago and it was instantly over. Cut to last year where suddenly we could watch 90 Day Fiance and cross-stitch all day long like the little old ladies we were destined to be. Bryant and Kate came to visit us in Denver back in May and, don't ask me how we did this, but we fit FIVE people into our apartment for four days. There is nobody, absolutely nobody else I would do that for. Catch Bryant at the wedding having to repeatedly tell people he is with the bridesmaids and enjoying the open bar.
Groomsman
Ah, Drew. What does one say about Drew? Sam might have been Noah's first real-world romance, but nobody at Marketsource would deny that Drew was his first work-bromance. The yin to Noah's yang. You have never met two people that have less in common, other than an unhealthy competitive nature when it comes to Mario Kart. I would say somehow they make that into a beautiful friendship, but we all know how. I know the phrase is that someone could 'talk to a brick wall," but Drew could make a brick wall cry from laughter and basically any person in this wedding could tell you that. Catch Drew at the wedding either making best friends or enemies with his incredibly dry humor.
Bridesmaid
Okay now I have to be honest here, I am convinced that Raine has been lying to me since the day I met her. Noah and Raine have told me for years that "just because we have the same last name doesn't mean we're related," and in my opinion that is just BS. Whatever. To know Raine is to be completely obsessed with the way her brain works (i.e. projects like her Goblin blog and her Cheaper by the Dozen musical (PS don't steal her ideas that's lame)). Catch Raine at the wedding sneaking off with Amanda to slip on their wedding-themed crocs.
Groomsman
Maris (or Mac) deserves a medal or something for having to grow up with a sister like Sam, someone incredibly loud and dramatic. He has always found ways to shine through both his incredibly kind personality and a list of accomplishments that nobody would scoff that. Noah can tell you that Sam's dad wasn't the scary person he had to impress, it was my 13-year-old little brother. Luckily, they quickly bonded over the mutual love of games like Pokemon and the way they both love to learn and be educated on topics. Catch Mac at the wedding turning the hell up because this guy just turned 21!
Bridesmaid
The most important person in Sam's life is probably a toss-up between Noah, my mom, or Macie. College sororities have a structure in place for every girl to have a big sister or mentor to help them through college. After seeing so many people feel let down or disappointed in this relationship, I'm not sure what I did to be so lucky to have my very own Macie. Today she is known to many as Ms. Glasgow, someone shaping the young minds of some of the luckiest kids in the world. Catch Macie at the wedding making sure Noah and Sam get time to eat while probably forgetting herself.
Bridesman
The youngest of the Walker brothers, Spencer and Noah have a four-year age difference, but you would never know that watching the two of them talk. These two grew up attached at the hip always being obsessed with the newest games and consoles. A few years ago, Spencer added Sarah to the family being the first Walker boy to get married. If you don't see Spencer at the wedding, he is finally off with his beautiful wife to Malaysia changing hearts and minds in the name of Jesus. If we do get a chance to have Spencer at the wedding, you can definitely catch him devouring the food in 30 seconds and probably having an allergic reaction to the trees.
Bridesmaid
To be honest with you, I don't remember how Kate and Sam even became friends. It started as me being aware of Kate and then suddenly I was spending every day with her. Did she hypnotize me? Can't be certain. Anyway, Kate is the type of friend that you NEED in your corner; someone who whether consciously or not somehow always knows what to say and when to say it. The pandemic took her back to New York and left me in South Carolina, and it is tragic to think of all the $1 drink Applebee's nights that we missed because of it. At the same time though, she's the type of person that I know will just always be in Noah and I's lives whether she wants to or not. Catch Kate at the wedding probably bawling and telling everyone about how she helped hide our engagement for months.
Groomsman
Noah and Sam might have moved out west, but nobody can challenge the original cowboy of the group. Greg is our resident history buff, and (you'll be shocked to hear this) met Noah through a love of video games and DnD. Nobody and I mean nobody, enjoys hours and hours of beer-drinking and storming any type of fictional castle with his best friends. Just a few short years ago, Noah had the honor of standing by Greg at his wedding and he is so pumped to have Greg do the same for him. Catch Greg at the wedding reminiscing with his lovely wife and probably letting us all in on the history of Red Top Mountain or something.
