brianna is sam's younger sister by 8 years. with that large of an age gap, they haven't always been the best of friends. sam loved when brianna was a cute baby, but things quickly changed when she began to walk, talk, steal her things, etc... basic sister quarrels. since brianna has gotten older, now just graduating high school, they have become closer than ever. long-distance sisterhood isn't ideal, but that can't stop the facetimes, tea-sharing, and meme-sending. having her as sam's maid of honor is only right!

sam and rae met their sophomore year of college. both transferred into UConn in 2018 and have been inseparable ever since. sam commonly refers to rae as a "cinnamon bun" because she is the sweetest, kindest person she has ever met. rae is thoughtful, selfless, and an amazing best friend. although time and distance has separated them, the relationship remains unwavering. they always knew they'd be in each other's weddings and now is finally the time.

sam and taylor met as soon as sam came out of the womb. at 1 y/o, taylor was stealing her pacifier and already wreaking havoc. their dads have been best friends since high school, so it’s only natural for the kids to follow suit. nicknamed an honorable older “cousin,” taylor has shown sam the way through every step of life. from kids playing soccer, to teenagers doing hoodrat activities, to having babies and getting married, taylor has been there every step of they way. we couldn’t be more thrilled to have her supportive presence here as a bridesmaid.

sam and isabel met first year of medical school in 2023 at RVUCOM. they were in the same orientation group, quickly connecting within a sea full of stress, chaos, and confusion. navigating first year together was similar to forming an unbreakable trauma bond... but they made it through countless hours of cadaver dissection, late-night studying, and the occasional movie night for a much-needed break. finding your support system in school is crucial to success, and sam wouldn't have made it this far without isabel! being the reliable, generous friend she is, she is making the trek from Colorado to be in our wedding and we couldn't be more grateful.

at 10 years old, nathan's amazing daughter kylee will be spreading love and rose petals down the aisle for us. from playing dress up together when she was younger to fishing to her little heart's desire, kylee has always been a daddy's girl. the connection she has with her dad is one of the sweetest, purest forms of love. kylee has been so gracious and accepting of sam coming into their lives, and we can't wait to have her steal the show at the wedding!

soon after meeting while stationed in Alaska in 2010, mikey began crashing on nathan's couch and stealing his food too many times to count. bonded by their twisted sense of humor and sarcasm, they became best friends and fishing partners in no time. nathan happened to introduce mikey to his wife, shelby, and eventually became the godfather of their two kids. they grew from young, immature boys to "respectable" family men and have been together through it all. though vertically challenged, through delicious cooking tips and drunk, heartfelt conversations, mikey has definitely earned his keep as nathan's best man.

nathan and andrew met while stationed in washington in 2019. although they didn't start off on the right foot, they eventually were able to figure it out after realizing their common love of a good, cold beer. andrew proved to be a reliable friend who has consistently been there for nathan. he saved nathan from being homeless (twice) and has always welcomed nathan as part of his family. nathan returns the favor by listening to andrew rant about his salt-water fish obsession and making him feel big in the gym. nathan and andrew are each one half of a whole idiot, so we need him at the alter to complete the groom on his wedding day.

nathan and joseph became friends while stationed together in washington in 2020 and instantly bonded over their deep love of the olive garden, despite joseph's authentic italian heritage... using his one-of-a-kind sense of humor, joseph can make any room erupt in laughter. with joseph's duality, we are excited to have him by nathan's side for the ceremony and the life of the party at our reception!

when rob started dating nathan's mother in 2007, nathan wasn't too keen on the idea of having rob around due to his rambunctious reputation. although the tension was high and you could hear a pin drop when they first met, rob ended up being a phenomenal step-dad and one of the best men nathan has ever met. no matter the time of day, or what rob is doing, he is always a phone call away with life advice or much-needed guidance to fix a car. despite nathan not being invited to rob and his mom's own wedding, nathan decided to be the bigger man and is honored to have rob standing by his side for his big day.
