How we met

It all began on a rainy day — the kind where staying home feels like the best plan. But sometimes, love starts when you say yes to something unexpected. A friend had asked me to come along to deliver food to a friend who lived nearby. Despite the heavy rain, we decided to walk, reassured that it was only a short distance away. What was meant to be a quick trip turned into a soaking adventure, as the rain poured relentlessly and left us completely drenched by the time we arrived. When we finally reached the apartment, the door opened and there he was. With a warm smile, he introduced himself right away: “Hi, I’m Sam.” Little did I know, that simple introduction would change everything. After a brief exchange, Sam asked our mutual friend if he could have my number. When the question was passed along, I agreed — not realizing I had just said yes to the beginning of my forever. From that moment on, Sam was intentional, forward, and wonderfully consistent. He reached out every day, making his interest clear and his presence felt. Just two weeks later, with confidence and certainty, he said, “Let’s do this boyfriend and girlfriend thing.” And he never stopped showing up. Through conversations, laughter, and unwavering commitment, our connection grew stronger each day. What started as a rainy walk and a simple introduction blossomed into a love built on consistency, care, and choosing each other again and again. Today, that rainy day has led us here — standing side by side, ready to begin our greatest adventure yet as husband and wife.
